Safestyle UK Plc | www.safestyle-windows.co.uk Reviews
HPAS Ltd was originally setup in 1992 whilst Safestyle UK Plc was composed in 2013 to represent all of the group subsidiaries. The founder (Mitu Misra) was up and running on just £2000 capital. As they became popular, many will recall those irksome Jeff Brown ads “You Buy One, You Get One Free!”. Today, this firm has successfully played catch-up to the original home improvement giants Anglian and Everest who each date back to the 1960s. A recent presentation highlighted market share at 11.2%. This is quite a feat with the 3 majors historically sharing between 25% and 30%, with the bulk running across 12,500+ firms. Safestyle’s customer base has now surpassed 800,000 with their millionth order taken in November 2014.
This company has been hitting record highs noting 2016’s £163.12m revenue (2015 was just under £149m). Their 2017 results won’t follow for a few months, but we may well see another peak. Their revenue figures as it stands today even surpass Everest. From that noted 11.2% share, it is across the Midlands and the North where they are making up most of their ground at 15.5%. South is much lower at 6.4% where they’ll be looking to target further. The web performance of www.safestyle-windows.co.uk is behind the trio at #34,578 (Alexa UK). Current social media follow counts are 20,900+ (FB) and 2600+ (Tw). Their Facebook on an earlier search stood at around 12,200 that highlights a notable surge.
The Safestyle UK product line is streamlined at conservatories, doors and windows. They stick with what they feel works best. In the manner of the window builds, this means that there is no place for aluminium or timber. Double glazing is also the central focus, with triple only being available on a single signature range. We can understand the focus on UPVC, but triple glazing is required to achieve those top Energy ratings. A 10 year guarantee is provided on window purchases. Guarantees are transferable and for free! There are 4 trade association memberships held that is the smallest tally of the bunch, but the essentials are in place (Energy Saving Trust, FENSA, GGF and TrustMark).

Spread the Cost
Safestyle’s finance offers are a cut above the rest. They only use Barclays Partner Finance rather than a large panel, but this exclusively brings with it a range of enticing deals. The loan is unsecured and no deposit is required. To run through the options, the longest is 36 months at 0% APR. For this, £3000 is required on spend plus a cash contribution of 33%. You could just opt with 24 months at 0% that doesn’t appear to have any such restrictions. There is also a 12 months Buy Now Pay Later offer. There is a release fee here of £70 when paying before. If you don’t manage this then Barclays will start charging backdated interest to the start of the agreement at 17.9%. Finally, there are also 60 and 120 month interest bearing deals at 7.9%. Competitive plans like this are attractive considering that their average orders sit close to £3200.
Monday to Friday (9am-10pm) and Saturday to Sunday (8am to 8pm) are the times in place for quotes. For ongoing support, there is a change of Monday to Friday (9am-6pm) and Saturday (9am-12pm). No coverage on Sundays. It is referenced that the busiest times to call run between 9am and 12pm across Monday to Wednesday.
There are no current discounts running. They did previously have a buy 3 windows, get 1 free, but this has now closed. There was also a 10% off your online quote saving that has also been removed. To make sure that you are getting a great deal there is their Lowest Price Guarantee offer where they won’t just match, but will drop below a competitor based on a like-for-like product. Whenever you do receive a quote you’ll have a full year of validity that will help when shopping around.
You’ll need to live in England of Wales to receive their products. It is great that their quotes do stay valid for a good year. Requesting a visit from them before any others planned is ideal when shopping around. On the flipside, others may prefer to pick up perhaps a few local quotes before so that they can come back and take them up on their Lowest Price Guarantee offer. Those visits that turn into transactions are usually processed quickly. The installation time is often up and running in 4 weeks.
A for double glazing.
*The rating of Heritage (triple glazed) is unknown. An email has been sent asking about this.
Composite and UPVC.
Sound Reducing Windows…
Safestyle’s double glazed windows achieve a sound reduction of 31db max. They feel that this is enough protection for homeowners. Going higher would only make sense to them in commercial buildings.
Styles and Sub-Styles…
Astragal/Georgian Fret (cottage style), Bay, Casement, Sash, Shaped Windows, Tilt & Turn.
There are various frame configurations available. Decorate finishes include Astragal, Bevelled, Georgian Bar, Georgian Fret, Leaded and various Obscure options including Arctic, Autumn, Cotswold, Everglade, Florielle, Mayflower, Stippolyte, Sycamore and Taffeta. There are 6 main window colours that are Black, Cream, Grey, Oak, Rosewood and White. It is important to see those Oak and Rosewood options due to their decision to not sell timber. Styling choices are improved for Heritage where they promote such creative shades as Clotted Cream, Cotswold Biscuit, Eclectic Grey and No.10 Black. They extend to an arched shape and so varied shaped window designs should be fine. However big or creative the job, don’t forget those 0% finance offers.
